"cancerous legion"... LMAO!!!!!!!!!! I don't think we would take on his salary 300.. then again you know how JR seems to have a thing for grabbing underdogs and trying to "revive" them..... sometimes it works (i.e. Samsonov.. so far) sometimes it doesn't.....

Well. I guess they are trying to drive home a point.. be interesting to see what happens because IMO Emery is done on that team... and with them flat out admitting he was shopped with no takers he may be done for good.... it's going to be interesting to see how they play the goalie card the rest of the season because we know Gerber can't play each and every game... MY suggestion.. send his butt down to the AHL and call up a young gun and give them a shot... easier said than done I guess with the place the Sens hold in the standings this is going to be a thin line for everyone to walk till the season is done...

Apparently, their goalies in the AHL have not been that consistented - which puts them in a jam. The fine could be somewhere in the tune of $14 000+.

Well.. it WAS a rumour that Hamilton had been put on waivers per Eklund... but now it's been confirmed... Hmmm.. wonder what this means... are they hoping someone will pick him up? I mean it's not like we have anybody coming back from injury or something to replace him.... tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=(Scroll down to the little Cane logo) ^^

And Hammy cleared waivers today at noon & is playing w/ us tonight vs. TOR. OT: It's kinda scary...Timmy looks like he could be a direct relative to Coach Mo...anyone else notice this?

LOL.. I DID notice that Dee... last night when Timmy was being interviewed by Forslund that he looked alot like Coach Mo... especially when he smiles..

DING DING DING DING!!!! Which is exactly when I noticed it too, lmao!!
Apparently Matt's having vision problems due to the "non-concussion" that he suffered the day after Christmas.

Yea, I saw a little blurb by Cullen somewhere today where he was venting his frustration at not being able to travel with the team and play, he said he feels great in every other aspect but is having "near/far" issues with his vision they are trying to figure out.

I'll just add this to the "this is interesting" thread.. Ottawa just fired their coach!!!
From TSN:
Quote: Having dropped six of their last eight games and 14 of their last 21, the Ottawa Senators have fired head coach John Paddock with just 18 games remaining in the regular season.
Bryan Murray, who coached the Senators for two seasons before taking the general manager's job last summer, returns behind the bench for the stretch run.
Speculation over Paddock's job security heated up after the team's second straight uninspired effort - a 4-0 loss in Boston on Tuesday after a 5-0 loss at home to the Toronto Maple Leafs the night before. The Senators appeared ready for a major shakeup, and the local media in Ottawa were already calling for Paddock's job.
Even Murray was hesitant to give him a vote a confidence. "I think winning makes everything safe," he told reporters in Ottawa earlier this week.
With the Senators struggling, the surging New Jersey Devils have taken over the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Montreal Canadiens sit just one point back of Ottawa for the Northeast Division lead.
Under Paddock, the team sprinted out of the gate early this season with a 16-3 record in its first 19 games. The team then struggled in late November and early December with a seven-game losing streak, and went 20-19-6 the rest of the way.
Paddock, 53, served as Murray's assistant the previous two seasons and before that coached the Senators' American Hockey League affiliate in Binghamton, N.Y.
He spent four of his 18 pro seasons as head coach of the Winnipeg Jets, posting a 106-138-37 record. In the playoffs, the Jets suffered consecutive first-round losses in his first two years, then failed to qualify for the postseason in his last two.

Well, it is about time!!! I know on the message boards for Ottawa - I lurk there - they have been calling for this for quite some time. Let's hope it is what the team needs.
