Starting this early before I forget it. I think there are at least a few of us on here that will be following the hockey at the Olympics and feel free to post on any other topic Olympic related. I'll kick it off with a link to the hockey team rosters. I would post them all individually but it would take up WAY too much space.. LOL www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=58436

Looking like we won't see Koivu or Selanne. At least there's a pretty good chance of that.

As of now, there's no one on Team USA that I really care to watch. I'm Team Canada and Team Finland. Should Timmy get to play for the USA, I'll add them to my list of people to pull for.

Team USA all the way!! USA! USA! USA! As of yesterday morning Jussi was saying he had received no calls about being a possible replacement. Finland WAS my 2nd choice to beat Canada but now I'm gonna have to pull for the Russians or something because leaving Jussi off piiiiissed me off!. Grrrr.

I'll be following Finland and Canada. Like Mel I'll add USA if Timmy get's added. Of course once it gets down to the gold medal game I reserve the right to decide at that moment who I want to win! LMAO

I am Canada all the way!!!;-)
I do however agree with Curl that I get to pick the gold medal team when it is decided who will play. I can't believe I am actually cheering for Pronger but as someone said as a comment on an article about him....better to have him play for us than against us.

I'm going for USA! Malone is playing and even though I wish Timmy was too, I'm not going to go against my home country just because of that. A lot of good players were overlooked for other countries too. Thats just how it is, not everyone is going to be able to be chosen to play. Now as the games go on and teams get knocked out, I'm going to pick from game to game.

That's how I am too GGC. As long as USA is in it, they're my team. Then I'm anyone but Canada. LOL Sorry Turnie!

I'd like all of our players to do well...hopefully that'll include Tim and Jussi by the time it gets here. I absolutely cannot pull for Russia. I just can't. If Jussi doesn't make it...I'll go Czech or something. Or Sweden. They're pretty. I'd love for USA to win gold to complete the trifecta of wins this year, but can't imagine how jacked Canada is going to be.

I've been following International Hockey for a loooong time and there's just an old school kind of rivalry there. You listen to Canadian announcers (ol Don Cherry especially) take all credit away from American kids saying things like they wouldn't be there or wouldn't be winning if they hadn't trained on Canadian soil and it irks me. I guess that means the USA gets to take credit for all those Canadians who trained on American soil and in American Universities. So really, no reason other than the rivalry. Remember, I'm a team first girl and my team is USA Hockey.

^^^^LOL.....I know what you mean about Cherry....according to him though the US couldn't take credit because when the players were like 6 months old they looked at Canadian ice so that is where they get their talent. Some of the things he says make sense but a lot of things are annoying. Oh and the rivalry goes both ways.....most up here will cheer for anyone but the US. I will cheer for Canada in all their games and any other games I will wait to see who plays who.
