Ok ladies.. this is it. Down to the final two games for all the goodies. Canada vs USA for the gold ! Thank god this game is going to be at a decent time tomorrow. Finns vs Slovakia tonight at 10:00 pm. They sure are going to have to play better than they did in that last game to manage the bronze. On a side note.. if I never have to see another game of curling it will be too soon! LMAO

What is it with the fascination with curling anyway? Yeesh!
Anyway, going to watch as much of the last games as we can though i'll probably fall asleep during the bronze medal game. I know some of the Cane guys are in the Finnish team, but the sweetie and I are rooting for Slovakia. They fought long and hard to get here, and best of all, they gave Canada a scare during that third period. Also Sweetie's fave player, Satan, is with Slovakia so we're cheering him on.
The gold medal game is going to be awesome! USA is feeling good about their chances but fully aware they're facing another great team who wants the win for their home/host country. Canada (a team I also adore) has had their confidence shaken up a bit, realizing they're not the only hockey powerhouse in the world, so they're going to be digging deep to get what they need for the win.
A great game with two great teams! I don't care which one gets the win, just give the fans a game to remember!

CONGRATS TO THE FINNS! WOO HOO.. all the boys will be bringing home a medal to the RBC. I'm so proud of them all regardless of who gets the gold in the final match up. Is it ok for me to say how much I am looking forward to seeing NHL hockey again? I've sure missed my team.

Dang! I was really hoping Slovakia would get their first medal. Hated to see them lose.
But moving on to the Canada-USA game - 45 seconds left in regulation and the US boys tie things up!!! What a wicked game today! I'm hoping to see the US bring home the gold for another reason... I really don't want to hear NBC go on about Sid being not just a Cup winner but also an Olympic gold winner ever frigging game they broadcast. USA! USA! USA!

So proud of team USA. I know some of you like Crosby but I don't and I would have been happy for any other Canadian player to have scored that goal other than him. Its been all about him this whole Olympics and there have been way more better players out there than him. And yes Canada won but the USA team was one heck of a team and they played better hockey the whole tournament. So happy to see Malone and Gleason get their medals but the looks on their faces brought tears to my eyes.

The look on Ryan Miller's face brought tears to my eyes. Then for the poor guy to have to endure that interview..*ugh*.. Congrats to both teams on a well played game. They should all be very proud and I'm sure team USA will be in a few days. Now can we get back to some NHL hockey? LOL

I wanted to smack that guy interviewing Millsy. Could the questions have been more irrelevant? UGH!
One thing that has to be said about Crosby, love him or hate him, he steps up when the game is on his stick. He's done it repeatedly and he's done it with class; unlike an unamed other "star" player who took losing so bad he pushed a reporter and refused to answer questions from anyone not of his nationality the entire games....

LOL I felt so bad for Ryan Miller He played fantastic and the whole US team should feel proud of winning the silver medal. Everybody thought they wouldn't get that far and they proved them wrong. But NBC's coverage sucked, I'm with everyone on the curling coverage. SUCKED!!! Also, I agree about the Sidney Crosby comment. I was saying "Please don't let him score" and DAMMIT! didn't he score. Any other player I would have been cool with because I'm just so tired of how many times NBC showed him. There were other players on that team and the whole Olympics all they showed was Crosby whenever Canada played. IT's a TEAM SPORT PEOPLE! NOT GOLF!

Did anyone watch the closing ceremonies? Ryan Miller, Tim Thomas and was it Jack Johnson? were there. Ryan looked so much better, he was actually smiling. It was so cool that they stayed to participate in them.

I didn't stay up and watch it but I'm glad to hear he looked like he was feeling better. Congrats on him winning tournament MVP too.. it is a well deserved honor! I would have loved to be able to hear what Lindy Ruff was saying to Miller in his ear when they were going through the handshake line.

It was so cool that they stayed to participate in them. I watched until they cut away for an hour to show the stupid new Seinfeld show. Ryan Miller, Tim Thomas, Jack Johnson and David Backes walked in the closing ceremonies. As far as I could see, Phil Kessel was NOT there unlike a stupid tweeting wannabe Canes "writer" said in a tweet. eta* YAAYAY! My new USA Parise jersey arrived this morning. Hopefully Leah gets her's before the 4/2 game so we can go find Mr. Parise and have him sign them!

SO SO proud of the USA boys. It didn't turn out the way we all wanted it to, but they played an unbelievable tournament and the future is stunningly bright for USA hockey.
And yes, I wanted to give Ryan Miller a hug. LOL But bless him for having the class to stay and do an interview full of irrelevant questions. I was very happy to see him looking much better in the closing ceremonies.
I know a lot of people don't like Crosby and that's cool, we all have our opinions. But like W said, he steps up when he needs to. I'll take a player who's gracious over one who was quite ungrateful to anyone who wasn't his nationality any day of the week.
And I agree on the curling. I even wanted to go try it out but I need a break from it big time!

Wow... Its been a ridiculous amount of time since I've posted - my life has been so hectic lately! But, anyway, I'm very proud of the American boys. 5-0-0-1 in the tournament was a heck of a lot better than Canada's 4-1-1-0!! Crosby, well, he was Crosby. No comment. Still haven't fully forgiven him. Anyway, we can go back to not liking the Sabres and Ryan Miller. But in four years... watch out, Canada! Millsy's on our side again.
