damn, they start playing on Saturday? They sure aren't giving them much time to rest and re-group are they? With all these games starting at 8:00 pm I don't think I even care enough to worry about scheduling my life to even watch them. It will just be a re-run of what I watched last season anyway! LOL

If they didn't start Saturday or if they hadn't have wrapped up the Conference Finals series by yesterday, there would be at least an EIGHT day layoff b/c the NHL has to work around NBC's sweep week and season finales.

Well I'm sorry but I don't think it should be all about NBC after the way they have handled these finals anyway. Just my opinion but it should be about the teams and the players. *stomps feet like spoiled child* LOL

Well I am glad they are starting this week-end......but two games back-to-back is different.

Game one tonight of what I think will be a really exciting series. I'm thinking it is going to go 7 games.

I picked Detroit in 7 as I was one of the 12 remaining people that could still win the whole picking thing.

They said that NBC had back to back games because Jay Leno in prime time is starting on Monday night. Ooh, big woop! LOL

Also heard on the other board that they're scheduling it because Conan O'Brian is starting his Tonight show debut and they didn't want the possibility of double OT interrupting that. As long as hockey's a minor sport in the eyes of the network, they'll have to work around NBC's demands. I'm not a fan of either team but I'm hoping Detroit makes it a two-fer. But I'm not going to cheer for either. I'm a Caniac, and I cheer for our guys

I think its going to be close but Detroit wins in 7. The whole NBC thing is funny. Our local NBC station is not even showing the game tonight as our local children's hospital telethon started tonight. The Lightning stepped in with Sunsports and made a deal with the NHL and NBC and they got permission to cover Game 1.
