Well as Tripp would say "this is a game of consequence." Canes and Caps both stand at 18 points since the Caps beat the Lightning last night. M. Ryan was reassigned to Albany, which means at least one of our walking wounded will be back in the lineup. Either Cullen or Sutter. It would be great to have them both. Puck drops at 7:00 pm and the game is being shown on FSN. Which team will show up on the ice and who will be in net for the Canes? My two burning questions for this one! LET'S GO CANES!

Wow, that came out earlier than usual. It also looks like we will have both Cullen and Sutter back.

Problem it, it usually takes a game or two for the injured players to get back up to working speed again after being out for any major length of time like they have. I just hope I'm wrong and that having Cullen and Sutter gives the rest of the team a much needed jolt of energy.

No I'm sure your right Khabi, they certainly aren't going to go out there the first game and be what they were before they were injured personally I'm just grasping as straws at this point! LOL.. and hoping that one day I can see this team all healthy and playing to their potential.

I am almost scared to keep an eye on the game via the computer.

I'm thinking if we're lucky, the team will recognize that they need to make up for the adjustment period Cullen and Sutter are in the midst of. If they do, they'll play their hearts out.
If not, well, I can see the one with the long NHL pedigree back on the injured list.

We are getting ready for the third period, score 4-1 Caps.. Johnson pulled a groin in the first and luckily had to be replaced by Theodore in net who we usually have a lot of success against.. we had LOTS of shots on goal in the second but alas nothing made it in... no injuries yet or fights and once again Semin is a Canes killer.. one more goal and he gets a hat trick for the evening. Justin was in the booth with John and Tripp during the second period which is MY highlight of the game, he looks and sounds awesome. Said he hoped to be back on skates within two weeks.

Oh, wow. That was painful. Very very painful. I think I'm going to go to bed now and just hide there for the next week, I'm so sad

That, my dears, is what a team with no leader looks like.
Someone light a fire under Brindy and Staal, please? Staal especially? Brindy's old and coming off a major injury, Staal is young and coming off of carrying the team almost to the postseason last year. I think Staal needs some kind of motivation.
I would have thought Jordan's hattrick last night would have done that, but maybe Jordan hasn't called Eric to brag yet.

And can I just say that when they started talking about the trade that brought JWill to Carolina, and Justin said it was the greatest thing that ever happened to him, I really wanted to hug him.
