This is going to be a killer series (and some late nights for me). I wish I had faith in my Stars to get through this, but with Chris Pronger's elbows and now apparently feet, one never knows if you'll even live through the game!

And I'm just nerd enough to stay up until the very final buzzer. Remember that killer Game 1 last postseason that seemed like it would never end? yeah, I stayed up with it. I think it was something like 3:30 am when Vancouver scored the OT goal and sent me to bed very sad and very angry.

Now that's some serious dedication right there girl.. I can't honestly say I could or would stay up till 3:00 am to see the final outcome of a hockey game... well... unless it was on a friday or saturday and I didn't have to work the next day.. even then it's probably questionable... lol. I'm not as young as I used to be.....

I stayed up for that one, too. There was no way I was gonna sleep w/out knowing the outcome of a game like that one.

What about the Canes game that went to 2OT in '06?
I stayed up all frickin' night to watch that one, and had to get up at 7am to go to work. You can imagine how sleep deprived I was, but it was worth it.

Yeah, those multi-OT games are KILLER! I have to be (or at least am supposed to be) at work by 7:30 every morning and I stay here until about 6. I remember telling everyone before that Stars game to expect me to be crabby the next day b/c I just KNEW it would go into OT. Thank goodness for my friend in the San Jose area being on IM with me and keeping me from losing my mind.

They're playing with my head....giving me hope when I generally have none for the Stars getting out of the 1st round.

Glad to see the Stars win that one! Would like to see Holmer get to play but if Turco keeps that up I don't see it happening! After seeing him mic'd up in last season's all-star game I have to like him, too.

They'll live or die with Turks in net. Only way he comes out is if they carry him out.
I'm shocked I tell ya! I NEVER expected them to come out and win Game 1 against the Ducks. I'm so used to my team losing in the first round and especially losing game 1 that I had written this game off long long ago. Now they not only win, but win in convincing fashion. They've gotten my hopes up and I tell ya, they'd better not crush 'em b/c I've had too much of that already this season.
Go Stars!
