Ok, not meaning to rant but this has ticked me off. Or local NBC station is broadcasting the All Children's Marathon like they do every year. Thing is it starts tonight. So they are showing that instead of the game. Cool thing was, the GM of the Lightning (Ron Campbell) was trying to work out a deal with another local station to show the game. And the Lightning would pick up the advertising tag of about $20,000 to do it. They had a deal until last night when the station that was gonna broadcast it backed out. Well the local NBC station caved a little and made a deal with 2 cable companies here to show the game on the NBC-HD channel or another local cable channel. Thing is, I have satellite. And since we have a local station, we cannot get the out of area NBC feeds. So if possible the only way I can watch the game is online. This sucks!!

I don't know if they have pictures like the ones you want, but it's worth a try. And may I mention that I <3 his shoes.

Thanks for that I actually am very much aware that 19 is going to suck, but I am trying to be positive LOL 18-20 suck because everyone still thinks of you as a baby and I HATE it with a passion. And their remark is always "But I find it REALLY hard to believe you are 18 anyway" not much of a comfort, but I take what I can get

Oh, it's not that it will suck. And remember, it's what you make of it! Just that, sitting at 32, if I look back, I wouldn't pick any year under 25 to do over ... and I loved college. If I could go back knowing what I know now, maybe I'd redo a couple of college years, but that's the only way I'd even consider it. I struggled with birthdays 26, 27, 28 and 29 because I had these plans attached to them and nothing was working out. I wasn't in the field I thought I'd be in, I was in an unhappy relationship (or recovering from it), etc. Growing up, I had this timeline in my head and when I hit those ages, I wasn't anywhere near where I thought I'd be. But then I hit 30 and I had nothing attached to 30 and it was something to look forward to -- not an anniversary of failed dreams. Plus, I had older friends who said their 30s have been soooo much better than their 20s. And there is something about turning 30 that was freeing, aside from letting go of the timeline. For starters, being "older" became a good thing. At 30, I honestly felt like I could say, "I'm too old for this crap," and really mean it. I don't have to waste my time on bullsh*t artists, lousy men who tell lies and don't follow through. Now, at 26, I felt some push to make it work. At 30, I realized that I really am comfortable alone and that if this is how it is, that's fine, because he can go run that bullsh*t on some 24-year-old who's going to fall for it because she doesn't know any better yet. But that doesn't mean the years ahead will suck. (And I sincerely hope they don't!) I'm just glad to have them behind me. =.)

We didn't get the game either here on the NC Coast.... our local NBC station decided we needed lessons in Hurricane awareness then the telethon thingy they were hosting... GRRRRR... needless to say hubby and I were VERY upset and NBC got quite an irrate e-mail from the Mr. this morning...... sounds like we missed an awesome hockey game!!!!

It was an awesome game - well the last two periods for sure...I missed the first one because of a friends bar-b-q. Ottawa was right on....Emery was a little shaky but had his nerves under control by the third. Mike Fisher was, well simply put amazing. The announcers said he was a thorn in Anaheim's side for the entire game. During one of the fights Miker pulled and Anaheim player down to the ice and just held him there. He never through a punch - although I bet some choice words were exchanged - and no matter how much the other player tried to moved, Miker just held him. Hubby thought it was hilarious and the announcers said it was very classy of Mike because he could have hit the guy 5-10 times and he didn't.
On the other hand Chris Pronger is an a** who should be shipped to Siberia and left there!!!

Yea, I saw the Miker thing. Classy move on his part. Instead of giving the right hooks to him because the dude was defenseless, he just sat on him.
And honestly, I watched the first period of the game and the first half of the second, then I lost the fight to my headache and dozed the rest of the game. I heard Ottawa scoring like mad, and all I could think about was what I would be doing the next morning: :headdesk:

Thanks for the updates on what I missed.... figures NBC would screw up me being able to watch what was obviously the best game in the series so far.... I watched a youtube of Prongers hit and if the NHL doesn't suspend him for that they need their heads examined..... Obviously our Miker continues to be a class act....!!!!!

I'm actually watching the game right now on one of the HD channels from Time Warner. I was at my brother's last night so I missed it and they just showed the Pronger hit and that should definitely get him suspended. That was awful!

That game was MUCH better than games 1 and 2 for the Sens. I was laughing so hard that Miker was just sitting on Getzlaf holding him down. They shouldn't have penalized him because he didn't really fight, he just took the kid down and made sure HE wasn't injured any. What a good guy he is. Pronger should be suspended for the rest of the playoffs...I am sick of seeing him play dirty but also LAUGHED my butt off when he redirected the puck into his own net. Did you all see during one of the tv breaks, they showed Neil in the box and he goes "oooo I'm so scared" It was hilarious And congrats to him because he became a dad on Friday when his wife had a little girl!

I tried to watch the game online with no such luck. NHL.com was not showing it and you have to be in Canada to get the feed off of CBC.ca. I ended up listening to the Ottawa radio broadcast on NHL.com which was not that great either. Saw the hit on you tube too and just like the broadcasters said last night, he should get suspended for it. Also Mr. Lecavalier was at the game last night. He received the Rocket Richards Award yesterday afternoon. They have video of it on TSN.ca
