Wow, it's been forever since I actually had a chance to post to the gang. Just been insanely busy and doesn't look to slow up at the moment. Lots of stuff going on and won't go into boring detail all too much. Job is getting me down and lots of politics on that while we wait for the announcement regarding who'll be our new supervisor.
Oh, and had to watch the SC games. last bit of hockey I'll get to see until the fall (whimper). So glad to see that the Ducks got the cup this year and my best buddy who's a big Duck fan is still dancing in the streets, I think.
The roughest part was losing one of our furbabies. Our oldest cat, Lan, had been diagnosed with a very aggressive breast cancer last summer. We had debated on her having chemo, but the survival rating with that type of disease was very low. Instead, we decided it would make her happier not to go through that type of stress and just enjoy what days she had in peace. She lost the battle about 3 weeks ago and we agreed it would be best to let her be put to sleep. She was only 7 years old. So right now, we've got a cat sized hole in our heart.
But on the upbeat side, me and the mister will be heading back to Raliegh next year for a Canes game or two. I told him that I've let him have 2 years to do his show schedules for a group he's a part of that judges live theater performances in our area; this year, we're going to see some hockey! he agreed <G>
And that's about it for now. Got to go have some stitches removed from my mouth and then I can finally eat like a real human being! Hope you all are doing well and miss you ladies a lot! Can't wait for the new season to start.
