But al least if we would have done it in October, we would have done it during the Fair since they do not play at home during that time!!

That used to be the case, but I don't think it's so anymore. In fact, seems like it was last year or a couple of years ago that not only did the Canes play at home in the evening during the fair, but NCSU played at home in the afternoon.

Yeah, when the fair's in town, the 'Canes are sent out of town for two weeks. That happens around the time of my birthday too, 'cause every damn year we have either Disney or Stars On Ice, & that usually includes dates either on or around my day, which is Dec. 10th. As long as that continues every year, I will never be able to see the 'Canes play at home on my birthday. Sucks, too. I usually go to the next available game after they get back. :-(
About 5 years ago, I think, we had the fair here, State had a game at Carter-Finley during the afternoon & then the 'Canes played that night, & from what I understand from ALOT of the staff that worked any or all of them & also from people who were in attendance, it was a freakin' nightmare, esp. w/ all that traffic. I don't remember what State did that day, but thankfully the 'Canes pulled out a win for all the people that had to deal w/ the aggrivation going on around the arena w/ all that goin' on.

Susan, have you checked that beautiful spot over in Umstead Park yet? Umstead Park is heaven on earth ... it's gorgeous. Good call, Lady Dee, on suggesting that as a site for a wedding! Jan/GSBG
