It's Cam Ward bobblehead night ladies! The boys finally get back on the ice for a match up at home against the Rangers who have gone 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. Let's hope we don't waste too much time shaking of the rust and allow the Rags to take advantage of that. Last 5 games of the regular season, four of which are on home ice. All VERY tough match ups in my opinion. Puck drops at 7:00 and the game is on FSN. Well still no Cullen and poor Walker can't seem to catch a break!
Quote: Still no Matt Cullen at today’s practice. Scott Walker had his second consecutive day going through a lengthy session with the full team, and remains a post-morning-skate decision for tomorrow. Even after losing four teeth during today’s practice (can this guy catch a break?), Walker stayed out and finished the session.
“They weren’t real, so he wasn’t in too much pain,” said Maurice. “He was disgusted more than anything else.”
Maurice said that the likely rough nature of tomorrow’s game as mentioned above would not be a deterrent in Walker’s return.
“When Scotty goes back into the lineup, we will have done all we can because he pronounced himself ready to play two weeks ago,” said Maurice. “We’ve skated him and we’ve over-tested him. He wanted to play in the Washington game in Washington (on March 14), so we’ve felt him out a while.”

I'm okay with keeping him out. We went to the practice on 3/16 and there's no way he would have been able to keep up. It was a light practice and even then he was having to sit on the up-turned net and take some serious breathers. He did not look good at all.

Are you talking about Walker? According to Forslund's blog this morning he will be playing tonight.

Yep, Scotty. Who are they sitting for him? It was 2 1/2 weeks ago that we saw him like that so he had better be ready now.

I really hope it's Bayda who sits. Dwight has been solid on faceoffs when needed and Bayda/Walker would be a position for position swap.
