Welcome Victoria! I'm Brina This is the best place to find the craziest nutballs east and west of the Missisippi. Welcome, Victoria! I'm Jan, who lives in Placentia, Calif.: eight miles north of Honda Center, home of the Anaheim Ducks. As the westernmost (and likely most hormonal ;D) member of these boards, I'm happy to welcome another hockey fan who appreciates the intense hotness of our NHL guys! [/img]
Brina: Even though I'm 46 and just celebrated wedding anniversary #20 with Mr. GSBG Feb. 20, I share your intentions when it comes to respectability. Great minds think alike, don't they? Jan/GSBG

Hey, Victoria, and welcome to the group. I'm Debbie (or Deb), also known as Khabi Fan for certain reasons, as you've probably seen. Russian Goalies rule!!! I'm from that other Carolina, and I'm the one always griping about being in the 'outside market'. The one place where poker championships is more popular than hockey. Sigh.
I so would love to live in Canada. I'm not a fan of snow (Florida born gal) but there's hockey everywhere! I can't imagine living in a place where you can breathe it all in.

But I didn't watch as much TV back then so most of them I remember from the radio. But for the folks who have no idea what we are babbling about: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVWtq-_VYk8

Hi there Victoria and welcome from a fellow newbie! I'm Wendy, from Charlotte, but might as well live in Raleigh with as often as I'm there. LOVE your reasoning for being a Canes fan! Best reason there is.

Hey, Victoria! I'm Liz and I'm a Flyers/Canes fan. I became a Canes fan in 2006 when they traded Justin Williams to the team. I have been a Flyers fan since the Stanley Cup wins. I went to the 2nd parade and have been a fan ever since. I recently went to a game in Montreal with the Flyers Fan Club and had a great time. I would love to see more of Canada someday, I'm going to try to get to Ottawa with the fan club next year. What part of Ontario are you from? Anywhere near Coburg?..lol..
P.S. I'm not a respectable married woman when it comes to hot hockey players!

Hi Liz nice to meet you. I am a fairly new Canes Fan. That is awesome you got to a game in Montreal. I have been to a few in Toronto and Buffalo and would love to see the Hurricanes play one day! I am from Ontario and live about 40 min. from the Canada/US border.
Are you in Philadelphia? Bobby Clarke was my hero, I had his pics plastered all over my bedroom.
I enjoying reading all the posts here.

Since I live sooooooo far away from all the action there. I would love to hear any stories that anyone might like to share of meeting any of the players (ie: where, where they nice, did they smell good, dress ok, etc.)
Also I have no idea who is married, single, engaged or what-ever. Any info would be great. Do you ever get to meet spouses or girlfriends? Living so close to Toronto I get lots of info on the Maple Leafs, but difficult to find anything about the Canes. Thanks ladies!
Victoria - I have met Darryl Sittler, Peter Zezel, Wendel Clark and a bunch of NY Rangers ages ago.

BTW, I'm happily divorced for 10 years now (it was 10 years on March 8th). I don't have to behave, & Rod loves my "playful" side.

I have an 11 game plan with the Flyers this year and had 2 Carolina games in the pkg. i try to see Carolina at least once when they come into town. I too would love to go to Raleigh to see a Canes game. My favorite Flyer back then was Rick MacLeish, my sister loved Reggie Leach. What town do you live in?
