Okay, so the Hurricanes didn't make it to the playoffs this year. I'm sad because I won't see the guys again until next season, but at the same time I'm glad because they'll get a summer to rest and heal. It's been a busy 18 months or so for them. So who are you ladies going to be rooting for when it comes to who wins the Cup? For me, I'm hoping that either Tampa Bay or Atlanta wins the Eastern Conference, though I don't think they will at this point. Tampa has been up and down as much as our guys, and Atlanta is still working on finding their mojo. I'd just like the conference win to stay in the southern area - yeah, I know I'm selfish <G> As for who wins the Stanley itself, I'm rooting for the Ducks!!! Not just because they've got an awesome Russian goaltender but they are an awesome team. Okay, that's my choices. What's yours?

In the East, our first choice is NJ and then Pittsburgh here and I'm rooting for Tampa as well for our Lightning girls. I would really like to see Brodeur win it all again this year (go ahead and throw things at me now ) but I think the West is much stronger this season and will end up with it. So, in the West, I'm going with Ducks cause my son likes them and Preds cause I'd love to see the Cup stay in the South and then Mel can get to see it down her way.

I'm pulling for the Pens and ABB. Though it would be nice for the South to have the Cup again, just to irritate the crap out of the Canadian/Original Six snobs. =.)

I'm pulling for NJ! ::::hiding behind Heather, so I don't get hit by flying objects:::::::
Hey Heather, did you see those eyes on the frozen moment at NHL.com? As soon as I saw them, I knew who they belonged too!

You know I did and *right click* *save as* followed that! We actually ordered Brodeur shirts the other day to wear during the playoffs as my in-laws have already begun the war and this year, we're fighting back. *Grabs Nicole and runs as we are both going to get hit with tomatoes and such now*

You won't get hit by anything from me when it comes to Brodeur! He's a fine goalie (even if he isn't Russian ) and I always enjoy watching him at work, even when he lost to us on his birthday last year <G>) But still pulling for the Thrashers in the Eastern and the Ducks overall!

In the East Im going for New Jersey first also... second the Pens..... In the West I really have no preference overall but I think a Western team is going to end up with the cup this season...

I want to see the Pens take it for the East. Either them or NJ possibly. For the West, I like Nash. They're strong, young, and have a lot of endurance. (And I want to be the good luck charm for the Cup. It would give me reason to move back to NC. )

When the season starts, I always make a prediction, and I stick with it. I was really wrong last year, and I was really glad I was wrong. haha. This year, I said Buffalo and SJ in the SCF, and Buffalo wins it. Here's to hoping I was right this year!! I would settle for My Pens winning too.

I think NJ will knock Buff out in the ECF like we did last year.

As a Ducks fan, khabi, are you gonna come out here to The O.C. and see the team in person? If you are, please rent a car, get your sweet bippy out to Vin de Pays/Yorba Linda, and meet both me and Mr. GSBG in person! ;D Jan/GSBG

Oh, how I'd love to go to CA, Jan. One of my bestest buddies (who I blame for giving me the hockey bug) lives in your area and she wants me to come see the games as well. I'd get her to drive us both out to meet you. Unfortunately, the boss isn't letting me go anywhere, even when I have days off. Sigh. Double sigh. anyway, back to working the OT

::::hiding behind Heather, so I don't get hit by flying objects::::::: *shudders*I'm still waiting for my second round of intense dermabrasion for two large scars around my right eye. See, when I was hit in the eye by that 100-mph frozen-rope line drive before a Padres-Mets game in San Diego 10 years ago last July, I ended up with a fractured orbital bone, as well as permanent nerve damage to the entire right side of my face. Equally bad, however, are those two scars -- they pop through the heaviest foundation-and-powder job I can do. Even my first dermabrasion job on those scars barely got about 30% of 'em. Sorry to ramble on about this, ladies. I just get all freaky whenever I hear comments about getting hit by foul balls, pucks, and the like. Take it from someone who's still paying the price for being in the wrong place at the wrong time 10 years later: This is serious business. Jan/GSBG
