Dear Mr. Cole, You really should consider wearing THIS HAT more often. It looks damn good with your hair like that and brings out your lovely eyes. Just letting you know. -- Mel hahhaha that is a good hat. i really wish they didn't cancel practice today, because i was going to ask colesy if he still had his spot at trs. my dad was like...i think that is going into the stalker catergory. i REALLY wanted to ask him, just to see if that question would freak him out...

Or how they spelled his name wrong. Grr at them!!
And excuse me Erik but I'd put my hockey knowledge up against ANY Canadian....just sayin'.
Shannon and I had a similar conversation with Joni and he said kind of the same thing but it was more how the fans in Canada/Edmonton expect different things out of the players and will ride them hard (minds out of the gutters ladies) when they screw up. He said "here in Carolina they are more willing to embrace us and let us make mistakes as long as we make up for it on the next shift" (paraphrasing).
THAT I can take but don't tell me I'm not as knowledgeable! *squinty eyes*

I noticed the wrong name too. The sad thing is, it's THE HOCKEY NEWS. They are supposed to KNOW IT ALL when it comes to this sport... and yet they can't hit up Google or something to figure out, "Oh hey, it's a K, not a C." Whatever.
Joni has just earned points with me for that comment.

I was going to say....can't we do both? I don't think where you're from has anything to do with how well you know the game. It's all a matter of how much you follow the sport. I liked Joni's comment a lot. I'd much rather embrace them on the next shift when they screw up. I mean, hello - they do it for a living, they know when they messed up! Positive reinforcement goes much farther! lol
