For you Commie girls, add the diamond to your stalking locations: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BRICK: Mike Commodore played baseball up until college, and the Hurricanes defenseman has become a semi-regular at N.C. State baseball games.
Commodore said he recently contributed $1,000 to the Wolfpack baseball program, earning him a brick engraved with his name outside Doak Field.
"I got a sweatshirt, golf shirt, hat and a brick. That's what I wanted: a brick with my name on it."
Informed that New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has his own engraved brick, Commodore said he didn't have a preference where his was installed.
"I don't know if mine will be close to his," Commodore said of Rodriguez's brick. "He makes more money than I do."

It appears it may be awhile before we see Commie back in the lineup... he has a fractured left ring finger. Lavi's comments after practice on Tuesday.."I can tell you he doesn't look good out there, he can't pass and he can't shoot".. yea.. well that pretty much sums it up... lol OH.. and any of you photo robbing experts that get the Canes connect newsletter.. there was a very good picture of Commie in the one that came out yesterday if one of you would be so kind as to host it here for any Mike lovers... thankies...

Much to my surprise while watching the NHL channel last night they had an interesting interview show with Mike Commodore.. he talked about how it was never really his intent to become a hockey player in the NHL.. that he always thought he would wind up playing pro baseball instead. He was very well spoken and quite funny and articulate (think it was a 15 minute segment) which kind of surprised me only because I guess I have never heard him speak outside of a few minutes with Tripp!!! On a side note.. the segment before his was on Ryan Miller and his NHL career and his photography hobby, he said photography is really what he wants to do in his life and hopes he can make a serious stab at it after his NHL days.. his interview was really interesting too.

Not the best picture of Mikie because of the reflections in the glass, but this was the best I could do:

No, he's growing his hair. And I don't know about you, but I would much rather focus on Erik stretching. MMMMMMM. XD Btw, here's another picture I didn't realize I had. You can see his hair a bit better.
