Serious epic failure by the Caps and I fully expect a litany of excuses on why they couldn't perform. Bad coaching and not enough "heart" from the team in IMO. Now two of those players will very likely win major awards this summer with Green and the Norris and Ovi and the Hart. Ridiculous. IMO they played like they just expected the series to be handed to them, like it was their right or something and they truly seemed quite shocked that it wasn't. The Habs just showed them how to play like a team and fight for what you want.. hopefully the Caps will learn from this experience. I will say I was very pleased to see Ovi raise his stick to the home crowd after the game, however I hope that the majority of the team that didn't follow his lead got their arse's chewed big time. Way to show your appreciation to your fans Caps. I agree with you completely DG on the awards.

At least 6 or 7 can be excused because they were already in the room before Ovi tried to get the team to salute the crowd. The rest of them (Joe and Scotty included if they were a part of it) SHAME on them!

Well shame on them for not doing it before they left the ice then!

I second the epic fail. I wanted the Caps to win for Joe and for Scotty, and I was sitting there last night thinking if I truly was a Caps fan, I'd be PISSED at my team. Other than 4 or 5 of them, no heart shown at all. Mike Green? You are a pitiful excuse for a defenseman and both of those goals are on you.
I do give Ovi points for the fan salute. Every player should have been out there with him.

I disagree, only one of the goals is on Greenie. The other is on Carlson. Greenie took his man out of the play and Carlson was left in the goal scorer's smoke.
