ughhhh, I don't think I'm going to live through this. I'm already all worked up and nervous this morning. The only other playoff run I've been through as a Caniac was in '06 and back then I was still a newbie Caniac who didn't go to but a few games. My heart was still firmly planted back in Dallas. Now, Lord help me I live and die by this team. I'm going to be a mess for a while and someone might want to send the EMTs to check on me tonight.

DG I'm right there with you on the playoff run in 06, I was a newbie Caniac then myself and unfortunately got VERY spoiled by the way that turned out. I told someone yesterday that I'm not sure how well I will take it having to go through a run where it doesn't end exactly the same way!

aww newbie caniacs. :] i was a newbie caniac back in 2000. but i was six then. and cuter. hahaha. :]
if there is anything i remember from 2002, it was game 3 of the stanley cup finals against detroit. the one that had 3 overtimes and went until 1:16 in the morning. i was eight then, and wouldn't let my parents leave the game. they wanted to leave, but i wasn't leaving...i don't think i have left a game early since.

This isn't a Canes article, but there is some Canes mentions. Not sure how many of you saw this, but it had some interesting information about the regular season. Definitely a good read. www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=417971

I remember the 02 series and the 01 run. I've watched the Canes for a long time b/c I've had Center Ice for as long as I can remember. I was just never this invested in the team. *sigh*
Shots, maybe some shots would help.

stupid hockey teams...i hate my whole life being devoted to hockey (but not really)...it will really hurt me later in life. this whole day i have been on fourms and blogs and such. after my spanish test, during my study hall, and right now...in biology class. my parents will kill me if my grades fall during the playoffs.

Your cracking me up DG.. Maybe some shots of Corvo Goal'd? Hahahaha oooh, maybe! Haha. I am seriously thinking about leaving work a tad early to make a liquor store run. And I'm thinking about making the trip to Raleigh Friday afternoon so MsL and I can watch the game together and make each other miserable.

LOLOLOL!! Jazz, Curl is correct. I can pretty much make my own schedule. My company is incredibly awesome and totally supports my hockey habit. I'm technically supposed to work 7:30-5-30 M-Th and 8-12 Fr. I usually work 8-6 and 8-12 unless it's game day which I work 8-2 and leave for Raleigh. My title is "Executive Assistant".
