Flyers played like crap. Too many penalties as usual, I think they let the Pens intimidate them. As I've told Susan, the Flyers just don't have the fire they had earlier in the year. It looks to be an ugly series.

Lol.. Freaky.. I could have typed that exact same thing about the Canes game last night! ^^ At least we still have a long way to go. You know I can live with a loss if you give it 100 percent it's the "I don't give a crap" play that I can't stand.

Apparently the Flyers/Pens game was the interesting one last night. I hate I missed all this!
Quote: It is possible the forward could find himself suspended for butt-ending Pittsburgh Penguins center Max Talbot in the face directly following a faceoff.
Carcillo, an agitator with a bad reputation, was placed on the ice to take a late faceoff against Talbot, despite not being a center or a penalty killer.
The incident took place as four Flyers players sat in the penalty box and another watched from the locker room while serving a 10-minute misconduct.

I'm kind of surprised he didn't get more than that. Well maybe if nothing else it will settle the Flyers down a little bit with their "angst"... lol

I never even saw that play.I was quite agitated at the end of the game so I didn't have my eyes on the game the whole time. Ok, I might be looking at this through "orange" colored glasses, but when I saw the replay, it didn't look like a butt end of the stick to Talbot's face. It looked more like a stick to the back of the head and Talbot fell a little too easy, but it is what it is. It's funny that neither ref saw Fluery smack the back of Mike Knuble's head with his stick after Gagne scored. It's Pittsburgh, we'll just turn our heads.

Some teams just seem to get away with that kind of stuff Freaky. The other night during our game Parise was holding Staal's head down on the ice and amazingly enough nobody wearing stripes saw it, yet we were getting penalty calls left and right.

Man, I must be really slippin...I could have sworn when I read the first report on the incident that it said he gave a 'butt-check' to the face after the face-off. I was trying to figure out how that could possibly have happened and I couldn't wait to see what the would discipline him for!!
Glad to see you ladies cleared it up for me!! LOL

There's your win Freaky, I told ya so! We watched the game today and your arena was ROCKING I told the spouse it reminded me of the RBC during the playoffs. I have no doubt the team fed off of all that energy. Quite the sea of orange too, although it looked more red for some reason on our TV.

I think I was most excited when Hrudy said that Giroux has found his game for the Flyers and that will be dangerous for the Pens. While I am cheering for the Pens - most of the time - I would not be terribly disappointed if the Flyers were to come back and beat them. Now to go hide before Mel reads this!!
