My hair has a slight bit of wave to it -- great for body, sucks for perfectly straight hair, which my new haircut could use. I used to have this product, a pink gel, that I liked, but have long since thrown out the empty bottle and can't seem to stumble upon it anywhere. Anyone have a recommendation? Ok if you want straight hair, youll need a ceramic straightner. I would go to a beauty supply store to get one. (they are expensive but worth it!)If you want to accent your wave get a diffuser and it attatches to a hairdryer. the product for waves is definitly a curl enhancing gel. try to get the spray (redken has a good one)

I use the Bath and Body shower gels and lotions. I ususally just end up stocking up on stuff when they have their sales. One scent I really like is the Pomegranate. It was not on sale this past time, but it is yummy!!!! The midnight pommegranite is too on sale go to the Bath and Body Works web site and youll find them there the whole line is on sale. Sale ends soon though.

You can use straightening irons, but straightening irons/curling irons/coloring/perms all damage your hair, so be sure to moisturize it religiously.
I have really long, really straight hair, and I permed it once and will never do it again. I've finally gotten it healthy again and let me tell you, I'm not touching any of that stuff ever.

I think the ceramic straightener is a bit of overkill for my hair. When I blowdry it, it comes out pretty straight -- it's only when it airdries that you'd guess there's any wave to it.

My hair had just a hint of wave to it... I got a "body wave" years ago and it came out like a freakin' poodle! Even after it had all grown out, it left my hair wavier than it was before. It did a real number on it though, it was horribly dry and frizzy.

I have to use the ceramic straightener on my hair to get it as straight as I can otherwise the natural wave never comes out of it just blow drying it. :-( If you buy a good one like Sadie said, it works miracles and leaves your hair feeling really nice too. Every time I go to get my hair done again that's the first thing she does is feel it before she does anything to it to make sure it still feels nice and healthy. I'm amazed that it still is with all the product she's had to put in it to make it blonde! ;D

In light of my attempts to get out of credit card debt, I'd rather pay $6 for a bottle of something than $60+ for a ceramic straightener.
I've decided to give up the tanning bed for the summer (I know, I know, save your lectures) and I'm contemplating giving it up pretty much for good. Here's the problem: I look like sh*t when I'm pale. Some people can pull it off, but I'm just the wrong blonde for it. I look sick and tired. (Though I might go red this fall and can pull it off a little better then, since I have green eyes.) Anyone have a self-tanner recommendation, especially for the face?

Ceramic straightners arent that expensive .....I got mine for like 45. You may think that you look bad without a tan, but just imagine how great and healthy your skin will be!

The straightener I have was expensive, but it was a gift....otherwise I wouldn't have gone that route either! LOL

I had to give up the tanning bed myself several years ago Kerri... so I feel your pain.... I was just getting too many brown age spots popping out and was beginning to freak over them... it's a tough adjustment being "pale" in the summer... but since I'm not a sun or beach girl I live with it.... as for the self tanner... the new Neutrogena spray one works great on legs.... if you can stand the smell of a self tanner... pretty nasty in general... I used a facial self tanner last year that worked rather well... hmmmm... darn.. I can't remember who made it, it was new out on the market last year and it was the gradual one, it came out as lotion and turned gradually, they made one for face and body...maybe Jergens?? I will check it out next time I go to the store and try and at least give you a correct brand!!!!

The Jergens brand was the one my friends used last year and loved it!!! I don't use any because I am always afraid they will make my face break out.

You too Sadie??? How weird is that... I'm having the exact same problem!!! I could only chalk it up to the summer heat and being hot and generating more oil on my face.....

My face is sensitive so I have problems using alot of products that are out there but Neutragena? is not that bad. I use a face wash that I get from my Dermatologist called Glytone. I use the Gel Facial Wash. You should be able to get it online too. Don't let the price freak you out (anywhere from $25 to around $35). One bottle last months.
