Actually Cam did okay tonight. That first TB goal he really had no chance to get, & there was one in particular where i thought, "How did you NOT get that one, Cam??", but he did fine other than that, & I was very pleasantly surprized by how well he did in the shootout, which to me is his biggest problem & has been since last season.

300 I totally agree on the shoot out! He really looked like he has been working on those and even though he ended up losing it, I was really proud that he was able to stop the 3 big guys from the Lightning. From our angle, it looked like there was more of those goals in regulation that he should have stopped. Am I wrong? I really want to be so it's ok if I am! :-)

Overall I thought he did pretty well last night.
It was definitely an intense game and good to see the guys come out with more energy.

I don't think Cam was horrible.. but he wasn't at his best either.... which was a shame because we could have, should have had that game in regulation.... on that note I must say how very impressed I was at his improvement in the SO.. that was something to see.. I was sitting in front of the TV with my mouth hanging open!!!!!! On the other side of the SO.. what is wrong with our guys?? My lord they don't even act like they WANT to score....!!!!!! Sad... very sad....

Again, I blame Tanabe.
Just kidding. It was a good, hard fought game. I enjoyed it, even if we did lose.

During the shoot out, every time Cam stopped one, I jumped up out of my seat....even if nobody else did! lol

From our angle, it looked like there was more of those goals in regulation that he should have stopped. Am I wrong? I really want to be so it's ok if I am! :-) No, unfortunately you're not wrong, as there was that one in particular (I couldn't tell you now who scored it) that I just thought, "How'd you NOT get that one??", as Cam had enough time to see it coming at him from the side & he was facing that side & was pretty much unchallanged on it as far as traffic in front of him - he had a clear view of it & the one who scored it, but things like that are funny sometimes; a goalie will make a save that looks impossible to make & we'll go, "How did you get that one???", but yet some of the easier ones they let through. It's not a Cam thing, as I've seen almost every goalie do this. We were in 315 last night, which was our side of the ice twice, so we were over Cameron for the 1st, 3rd, OT & SO. I was impressed by his SO. I think we need to put the odder players out there for the SO's in the future (Babs, Wesley, Seidenberg, Ladd, Rosie, Wallin (when he plays), Commie, etc.)... goalies have no idea how these guys shoot so it might just be enough to throw them off. Just a thought. ;-)

I don't get how he can stop impossible shots that make your jaw drop and then he lets in a goal just like the one you described! I always want to yell "CAMERON!!! What are you doing?!?!" LOL I did see on the main forum where someone posted his stats up to this point in the season compared to Gerber's stats for the same period last season and they're almost identical so I think that's pretty darn good considering this is his first full season as a starter. We're in 303 so sometimes it's harder to tell whether it's something he should've stopped or not. And I agree on the SO and who should shoot. The guys he's sending out every time aren't getting it done so let's mix it up and see what happens. Send Seidenberg and Anton out there!! Those guys have rockets!

If Williams had shot the puck 3 inches lower, we would have won. But he didn't. At least he actually got the shot off, Whitney didn't.
Did anyone else notice if Williams was limping? He seemed a little gimpy in the third to me, but that could have been the tampa feed's quality.
