Yeah, when she told me the story, she totally had her nose wrinkled up and this very sour expression on her face as she pretended to lean over to link in the bin. EWW, I just hope they wash them!!!

That was a playoff type game last night and even though we lost, it was so hard fought and so exciting, you just couldn't leave too upset. Kerri, I gave Jim your message but he just wouldn't leave!!! :-(
And Khabi fan, I rooted for the Canes of course too but I agree that watching Brodeur out there is just downright amazing. I know a lot of people on here don't like him but I do.....sorry! lol

Hey, someone on the 'Canes boards stated that he/she is sick of us making other goalies look great. I replied that Broduer doesn't need anyone to make him look great. He IS great. He showed last night why he is so, stopping 38 of 40 SOG. Marty was just being Marty. Again. NJ had better be kissing the ground that that man walks on, 'cause when he retires, the Devils won't have ****. He IS 3/4 of that team.

Yeah I'm sorry but WE don't need to make Brodeur look great, he's done that on his own for quite awhile now. That man is amazing and you're right 300, when he retires, the Devils are done for. Did you see how mad they all got when he went down last night? They know without him they're up that famous creek with no paddle.

Broduer is an awesome goalie as will Cam when he get years under his belt like Marty. I thought the game was great, but I'm a closet NJ fan (except when they play us). I tell you though, the Broduer/Williams relationship makes me nervous. Justin makes sure he get his bottom right in Broduer's way and Marty just keeps jamming that stick in his back....I thought for sure they were going to have blows again. Poor Justin, I wanted him to score on Marty soooo bad! HOWEVER, I do think they should have given Marty a delay of game....it took forever for him to stick those tissues up his nose. He had a great game knowing he got beat up....

Oh I agree Nicole! I like Marty a lot but he was getting some special treatment last night that other goalies wouldn't get if you ask me. Like blowing the puck dead when it clearly was not! And the bloody nose thing too. However, I was cracking up watching his backup roam up and down the hallway that leads to the Devils locker room. He looked like he was saying "Still don't need me? Ok, going back to watch some tv!" and off he would go!!
On a side note, it was great meeting you last night there lady!! :-)

And I'm trying to figure out what happened the first time Marty got hurt....did he hit his head on the ice too hard trying to block the puck? I think he saw stars, LOL! Justin was really mad last night when they whistled that puck dead....I love it when he gets that way Then I got really mad when some stupid NJ player grabbed Justin by the neck......thats just uncalled for All in all, I think the Canes played great.....just not good enough for Marty...but I'm not sure anyone had anything for that man last night. When he's on fire, he's hot! It was great meeting you too! You boys are the cutest things ever! Hopefully we can meet up again soon!

I learned the other night that he doesn't wear a chin strap on his helmet like all other goalies so his comes off a lot easier when people crash into him and I think that's what happened the first time so he did see stars! LOL I know Justin was FURIOUS!!! Yeah when Marty's on like that, there's not much you can do and we put in a real solid effort the whole game.
Thank you!! Yeah that would be fun to meet again!

When Marty is on... he is a beast.. there is just no stopping him and I love to watch him play. I do however, think he gets special trreatment by the ref's and it was pretty obvious last night.. tommorow is going to be VERY interesting.....

On the subject of cancer, I want to mention that Hallmark has added some cancer-specific cards to its Journeys line. Also, any of you in Raleigh do Race for the Cure? I haven't missed one yet, so I need to make sure I ask for that morning off from Hallmark. My firm has a team (an attorney's wife did this site, btw: www.myselftogetheragain.org/) so I'll probably be there in a firm T-shirt. If some of you do the race, it'd be awesome if we could meet for a post-race breakfast somewhere!

I'm afraid that I didn't see Marty getting special treatment from anyone. The refs whistled the play dead when they couldn't see the puck and that's not anyone's fault. If they can't see it, they have to stop the game. The second time they whistled was kinda iffy, but again that was the refs possibly reacting too quickly. But I don't really see Marty getting special treatment...
Also saw bits of the Thrashers game last night, and speaking of beasts named Marty, Biron was another one that was on his game. He was driving the Thrashers crazy... even had Kovalchuk mumbling to himself <G>

Not only that, but Fraiser has always had a quick whistle for Marty, because he assumes that the great Brodeur has the puck. And you know what they say about assuming.
