Puck drop set for 7:30 PM at the Air Canada Centre on FSN, w/ "Hurricanes Live" starting at 7 PM. We're slated to win this one, ladies, as TOR has been winning here & we've been winning at Air Canada (& Toronto won here last time - strange, innit?), & the 'Canes are coming in from three good games & "W"'s to boot.
LET'S GO 'CANES!!!!

Won't be able to catch it on TV until toward the end of the game. I'm starting digital photography classes for the next four weeks (one night a week) and I'm so excited!!!
Hopefully, I'll be home in time to see the last period. go Canes!!!

Dear Canes, If any of you (or all of you...maybe even all at once? that would be wicked...) could possibly just completely level Brian McCabe and Darcy Tucker tomorrow night for me, that would be great. k? thank you. -Steph

Tucker was on fire Sat against the Sabres. I hate to say it Steph...Toronto played wicked Sat against your team. Hubby and I watched it. Although, I did feel bad when they pulled Ryan. He did not look happy - for obvious reasons, I suppose.

I think Scott Walker and Tim Gleason are up for that task for you Steph. We need to beat them badly in order to keep hanging on to that playoff spot we've got!

He did not look happy - for obvious reasons, I suppose. Oh it's fine, I completely agree with you! Ryan was the only person who showed up that night ONCE AGAIN and he didn't even finish the game. Lindy said the decision to put Conklin in had nothing to do with how Ryan was playing, he said it was one of those "spark the team" things. Which is fine. Conklin should be have been starting anyway. Ryan kind of called out the team (sensibly) in his post game comments. He said stuff about how if they're the "big bad team" that they think they are, they're going to have to start playing like it. Good for him, that team needs a big swift kick in the behind. Ryan was so angry... I think Lindy is a great coach in general but the way he deals with his goalies kills me sometimes. PLAY TY CONKLIN!!! The guy has only started once since he got here (which was like a month ago) and then played two halves. Ryan played fantastic on Friday, but he was probably exhausted from that 45+ save performance. He definitely didn't lose the game for them on Saturday, but in general he should just not be playing so much. We've clinched a playoff spot, let him rest for the long haul ahead. Ryan isn't phsyically capable of playing 75 games a year like Brodeur is....DEAL WITH IT. On a side note...did anyone who watched the game on Saturday see Soupy take out Conklin? Conklin went to play the puck behind the net and Soupy went back there and must have had trouble stopping or didn't see him or something, I don't know, but he just ran smack into him and knocked Conklin over. Perhaps he was trying to tell him not to play the puck behind the net? It's interesting, because Ryan almost took out Pominville on Friday. When Toronto scored the fourth goal, the one off the ref's foot, Ryan threw his stick against the glass. It almost hit Pominville. Ryan is MAD.

Ryan is one guy I wouldn't make mad because he seems like the type that it takes A LOT to get him to that point but once he's there..............LOOK OUT!!!
I think it's cool he called out his team like that. Good for Ryan!

Perhaps he was trying to tell him not to play the puck behind the net? You think Ty would have learned to keep a better watch when he goes behind the net like that. "Ty comes in, he makes a great pad save and then he gloves one and he's got his confidence," MacTavish said. "Then, he goes back to play the puck and a little bit too much confidence in a situation where obviously you just want to get rid of it at that point around the boards. He was confident, didn't see Brind'Amour coming in the back and Brind'Amour got another one."
