Don't get the FSN feed since we are blacked out for Sun Sports. Ooooh! We did see John Forslund today. (I thought that was kind of neat, in a geeky sort of way... )

who did they say was stuck in the elevator with LaRose today??? I think they also said Williams. I know they did not say Kerri. *sighs* Shoot, y'all, the sound wigged me out! I was on the treadmill thinking, "This is what they said would happen if you played your Ozzy records backwards!!!" Btw, I've decided to change St. Louis to Shrimp Louis. Feel free to join me. Speaking of shorties, Ray, I wouldn't advise walking off the ice behind Babchuk. You look like the Canes' stickboy. So, here's to a long summer, plenty of rest, intense physical conditioning (Heather and I are volunteering to assist with this -- I haven't checked with her, but I'm pretty sure she's in) and coming back to kick some serious ass in '08.

caniac80, if I didn't have to do these 10 miles -- next half-marathon is next weekend and I've been seriously slacking -- I'd join you. Btw, did you know that the old Blinco's on Falls is going to be part of the Tap Room chain? I used to go to the old Blinco's all the time!! I have been waiting for the other chair of "the Tap" to open. What is it going to be...Falls Tap room or something like that? Anyways, at Sawmill Tap Room tonight, Bud was having a give away. T-shirts, 2 tics to the game on Friday, 2 hats, 2 hurricanes beaded "necklaces" and 2 tics for a locker toom tour on Friday at 2:30. Guess what!!! Lyle (bf) won it!!!! The tics are not as good as the tic I already had for Friday, but at least we can sit together. My extra tic I am giving to my mom. I was going to sit with this other girl who is a sports chic like me and a guy that also sits with them during other home games. May still end up doing that if the other guy and my mom takes the tics that Lyle won and that way he and I can sit with my sports chic. Not sure if it will work, but this guys sits next to my mom (both have 24 pack) and they like to talk throughout the game. Win. win situation, right? ??

The old Blinco's is just down the street from me and where the Marshall folks used to gather -- we moved to the new Blinco's when it opened. I think it is going to be Falls Tap Room. Hope they raise the ceilings! Just when it seemed like the Hurricanes were trapped in a nightmare scenario of their own devising, they were trapped in a nightmare scenario that wasn't their fault at all.
Heading back to their rooms after the team meal Tuesday, Justin Williams, Erik Cole, Chad LaRose and Cory Stillman were stuck in an elevator for almost an hour.
They used their cell phones to call for help, but a solution to the problem wasn't immediately forthcoming. Just when LaRose had picked out a spot to take his pregame nap, they were released from their impromptu prison. Yup, see? No Kerri. =.) And I love Chad, but don't you just figure there came a point when they wanted him to shut up? LOL.

Tripp or Forslund talked about it during the game and I think one of them referenced how they missed some of their "pre-game prep." I could only presume that meant "naps." I believe they talked about that after mentioning Chad's orneriness.

Yeah they did say that about the naps. Heck I would've gone in the elevator and helped them all nap!
