I know, I feel so bad because he never does stuff like that unless he's got a very reliable source. I feel badly for him cause he's awesome!

Ladies! Please, help me here! I only get the games on my Center Ice package since I live in Indiana, and we just get the game itself. Please, did anyone tape the before and after Hurricanes Live segments as well as the game tonight who would be willing to either make me a copy or send me your tape, I'll make a copy and send your tape back to you????Please, I only got to see the overtime of tonight's game since I was busy with family issues and unable to tape it. And knowing Rod won the game and all the emotion he was trying to control after the game, I'd love to see what was said on the HL after the game. Plus, the last game of the season, and truthfully, I am sad to think of no Canes hockey until October! Good thing I have the SC DVD, and taped most(nearly all) the games this season so I can still watch them play this summer to hold me over. So, if anyone can help, please PM me and you have my undying gratitude!!!!!Thanks in advance Ladies.

I didn't tape Hurricanes Live, but if it showed the jersey presentation, I wish I did! I really enjoyed the players taking their jerseys off and next year, I aim to be on the ice or as close as possible for the last game. =.) As always, awesome to hang with Heather's family and I even ran into 300Section coming back from an intermission. From the Canes photo gallery:

what a perfect way to end the season!!! roddy scoreing the last goal of the season was very fitting. he looked like he was going to cry there for a second after it was all over. they didnt show the jersey presentations, just the guys skating off the ice.

Oh! Before I forget -- and before I go to bed where I hope to sleep for at least 9 good hours, then maybe a few more after brunch ...
My friend has started to think about getting a jersey. Tonight, we went to the mini-Eye and she tried on the kids' L/XL -- too tight. (And let me say that tall women wearing the too tight/too short kids' jerseys annoys me as much as the pink jerseys.) Couldn't find an adult S, so she tried on the M and it was too big. (She's about 5'.)
We asked if they had any adult S and the guy told us that what they have is what they have and they won't be getting any more of the current jerseys. He said that they'll still sell them next year -- after receiving the new design -- but that they'll probably go as "vintage" at $5-$10 more. Either he said or I got the impression that production of the jerseys as they exist now has stopped.
So, ladies, if you want yourself a Canes jersey that looks like the ones you saw on the guys tonight, you better hippity-hop over to the Eye or snag something up online because it's days are numbered. =.(

Wow! They're pulling them already? Now I'm really glad I got mine for Christmas!
My husband was kind enough to take some good video of the LOVELY Canes stripping segment at the end of the game so once I have them off the camera, I can tell y'all where you can watch them as well. He actually took a lot of video for us last night including Johnny's penalty shot stop.
We had a ball hanging out with you too Kerri!! What a way to end the season! ;D

One of the first things Heather said to me when we met up to walk back to our cars was, "Jim got Chad stripping for you." LOL. All the articles keep talking about what a meaningless game this was, which I think is completely untrue. Sure, it didn't matter for the playoffs, but I think we needed to win this game to set a tone for the summer and '07-'08. I feel better about what our guys are going to do in the next few months to come back stronger and I feel pretty good about what we'll see in October. I think they were tired and worn out from '05-'06 and just couldn't get to a catch-up point. This game was for pride and for something to cheer about and for something to keep the fans hanging in there until October. Btw, I've read elsewhere that this season was actually the second-highest regular season wins since we got the Canes. From today's N&O: In the parking lots, fans began to gather as early as 5 p.m. for the face-off two hours later. Youngsters zipping around the parking lots and skating on their roller blades swung worn sticks and swatted tennis balls.
Dude, some of us were freezing our asses off a full hour and a half before 5 p.m. And we weren't the only ones. Apparently he drove in behind Crackers. ;D

I agree on the game evaluation there. That game was for pride which, sometimes is WAY more important than anything else. I was so happy to see them come back and win it, not only for us fans but for them as a team. It was pretty fricken' cold out there with that damn wind! LOL Seeing Johnny drive in at 5 pm was hilarious! I saw the truck, registered that it was his, but only when it was past us could I get out "HEY! That's Johnny!" so you and Jim could look! Had I been faster, the situation could've been WAY different.

Oh, God, that just reminded me of the picture Jim took! Btw, IrishIce, I think you were the one with the signs about Florida being whiners and the Best Actress award goes to? The folks at Let's Go Canes loved those signs and said it was obvious the players were reading them. OK, I now have a wiener dog wrapped up in my jersey and wish my camera was in this room!

Forgot to mention that it was also nice to see caniac80 and meet her boyfriend. And before I forget this, here's the theme dessert I made for yesterday: Surprise Graham Cracker Cookies
1 pkg graham cracker cookies 1 c brown sugar 2 sticks butter 1 sm (6 oz) pkg butterscotch or chocolate chips 1 c pecans
Line graham crackers all along cookie sheet pan. Melt butter and sugar, bring to a hard boil. Pour mixture over graham crackers. Sprinkle with pecans and chips. Put in 325-350 oven 3-5 minutes or until you see it bubbling good. Remove from oven. Let cool, then break apart.
(At the suggestion of a friend, I lined the cookie sheet with aluminum foil, sprayed with Pam.) IMO, you just can't go wrong with melted butter and brown sugar. (Btw, I left out the pecans and used chocolate chips.) Heather's husband loved them. ;D

Well, you don't like Crackers, so I didn't think you'd want any. ;D
